Immerse yourself in the dazzling costumes from Act Five, where contingents designed and conceptualised their own spectacular outfits; illuminating the Chingay’s theme “Wish”. These creations represent hours of careful craftsmanship and personal artistic expression, transforming performers into living works of art that celebrate everything from traditional festivals to modern interpretations of multicultural Singapore.

1) People’s Association (PA) Youth Movement (PAYM)

These futuristic vests with angular LED lighting represent Singapore's youth as active architects of the future. Hidden prints on the inner shirts celebrate mental health, racial harmony, and environmental sustainability, reflecting the diverse community wishes that unite young Singaporeans in shaping tomorrow.

2) Stepup Learning and Dance

Young dancers are transformed into fairy angels ready to grant everyone's wishes – thanks to the pure white ballet tutus. Every single piece - from head accessories to shoes - is illuminated with LED lights, creating a diamond-like sparkle that embodies their mission to make dreams come true.

3) The Japanese Association Singapore

Blending Japanese tradition with the celebration of wishes and dreams, these costumes feature luminous colours and Celestial River motifs from the Tanabata or Star festival! Take a closer look at the eri (collar) to see if you can spot the unique print depicting children and hemp leaves, in a nod to Japanese folk traditions!

4) Yuvabharathi International School (YBIS)

These red and white sequined costumes by YBIS proudly represents the Singapore colours. However, it feature four stars instead of five, to symbolise the school’s houses. These shooting star-inspired design embodies the belief that wishes made upon seeing shooting stars will come true, celebrating unity within diversity.

5) Jump Fit

Lightweight, luminous costumes in bright colours were designed to amplify rhythm and high-energy movement during the Parade performances. These outfits reveal their full visual impact when performers jump together, expressing how collective energy and joyful action can turn wishes into something visible and powerful.

6) PA Women's Integration Network (WIN) Council

Elegant princess-themed costumes in radiant tones celebrate that every woman, regardless of age or background, deserves to wear her crown with pride! The flowing designs balance femininity and resilience, representing the belief that dreams don't fade with age and that strength and vulnerability can beautifully coexist.

7) Chinese Dance Artistes' Association (CDAA)

With dual-coloured scarves and sparkling flower props, these bright, reflective outfits promote Chinese dance heritage through bright, reflective presentations. Traditional Chinese costumes in purple, pink, and gold satin with sequins create a stunning garden celebration theme.

8) ITE Modern Dance

Metallic and holographic costumes with futuristic aesthetics feature LED-lit glasses and abstract graffiti patterns that symbolise creativity and individuality. These bold designs represent how wishes evolve across time, connecting past inspirations with future dreams in a world driven by technology and innovation.

9) VIVA Brasil

After gracing the world's largest Carnival parade, these costumes are enjoying a new lease of life at Chingay 2026! Featuring bold green, white and red colours, with rich feathers, LED lights, and intricate embroidery, they celebrate Afro-Brazilian culture while they wish for a world where every culture is celebrated with dignity.

10) Northeast Malayalee Association

Celebrating rich Malayalee culture through traditional off-white and cream attire with gold borders, enhanced by vibrant red accents and LED accessories. These costumes blend authentic cultural expression with modern lighting elements, symbolising hope, positivity, and cultural pride within Singapore's multicultural tapestry.

11) Alpha Warriors

These captivating purple chrome suits with holographic finishes represent unity across different age groups. Complete with light sabers featuring four different lights representing Singapore's four races, these illuminated costumes symbolise strength, confidence, and the power of collective wishes.

12) Mexican Association in Singapore

Inspired by an ancient Mexica legend of eternal love, these costumes feature warm gold and orange colours with jade and turquoise tones. Large, colourful wings and reflective materials with LED lights bring this beautiful love story to life, showing how wishes born from love can transform and take flight forever.

13) Singapore Fashion Runway

Wearable art celebrating Singapore's iconic landmarks, with hand-twisted wire Supertree costumes featuring intricate floral arrangements and hidden "Hope" messages. These designs represent the wish for Singapore to remain vibrant, innovative, and sustainable.

14) Singapore Supermum

Children dressed as their dream professions while mothers transform into starry-sky fairies in shimmering dresses. This heartwarming concept allows children to embrace their career aspirations, with each costume serving as a visual symbol of hopes for a bright future.

15) North West District Community Float Performers

Inspired by their butterfly float theme, this contingent created glowing pink sequin costumes with delicate wings. Using lightweight, luminous materials, they transformed simple elements into a dazzling display that symbolises transformation, hope, and the beauty of dreams taking flight.
